The day began with an urgent request: “How quickly can we get the shipment to the hospital?” Joe took on the challenge, heading to the airport where he faced confusion locating the shipment. After coordinating with the MNX team (thanks @Mike Ingram), he discovered the shipment was mistakenly taken to the agent’s office.

Joe retrieved it and drove through icy Des Moines roads to the hospital.

At the hospital, he navigated heavy snowfall and a nearly unusable parking lot. Inside, he faced more obstacles finding the “Nuclear Medicine Hot Lab” amid staff uncertainty and a maze-like hospital layout. After multiple elevator rides and seeking help, Joe successfully completed the delivery!

“At Aztec Airways, we are tasked with flying time-critical, radioactive, and hazardous cancer treatment packages to remote locations. “The MNX drivers always arrive on time and know exactly where to go. After landing, we taxi the aircraft to the ramp, where MNX drivers are directed to the aircraft. Once I, or another AZTEC AIRWAYS certified HAZMAT CARRIAGE pilot, shut down the engines and open the door, the life-saving medicine is unloaded and distributed to individual destination drivers.”
